Are you on the hunt for the best breakfast at Disney World? If so, read ahead for my ultimate top picks!

Whether you’re visiting the parks for a day or are staying for an entire week, you may be wondering where to grab the best breakfast at Disney World. I mean, it is the most important meal of the day!

I totally understand that mornings at Disney World can be challenging. You may be trying to get kids ready while they’re squirming. Or maybe you want to rope drop big-ticket rides. If nothing else, you might just need an affordable place to fill up before tackling the day ahead!

If any of these things apply to you, then I’ve got you covered.

I’ve put together a list of where to get the best breakfast at Disney World that will help you breeze through a trip instead of standing in line.

And hey – you certainly won’t be disappointed with any of the hearty grub on offer either!

17 Picks for the Best Breakfast at Disney World

Best Breakfast at Disney World: Magic Kingdom

Main Street Bakery

If you want the best breakfast at Disney World after rope drop, then Main Street Bakery is the way to go. It’s not overly flashy, but it sells the most delicious bakes in the parks – hands down.

It’s worth mentioning that this place has been turned into a Starbucks, so it sells your classic coffees and blended drinks as well as pastries and muffins.

I’d say it was the best breakfast in Disney World if you’re looking for a cheap, quick-service option that you can stuff down after heading on your first ride of the day.

I love grabbing a Caramel Frappuccino® and an indulgent cinnamon roll to eat as I walk around the parks. But if you’re a savory lover, don’t miss their hefty breakfast sandwiches or stuffed croissants.

For a Disney World breakfast, it doesn’t get much more affordable than this. As a result, I suggest heading here if you’re paying for an entire family as it’ll be far cheaper than any table service location.

It gets super busy in the mornings though, so I recommend stopping by as you enter the parks if you’re rope-dropping. If not, try and wait until the morning rush has cleared at around 10:30 am.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace is one of the most classic Disney World dining locations and I’d say it’s a must-do if you’re visiting the parks for a special occasion.

The restaurant is near Casey’s Corner and offers a delicious breakfast of pastries, omelets, and meats. It used to be a buffet-style restaurant, but it’s been turned into a family-style table service restaurant as of 2021.

I’d say that this was the best breakfast in Disney World if you want to meet rare Winnie the Pooh characters. These characters are hard to spot around the parks, but Rabbit, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore are usually found here at breakfast time.

Cinderella’s Royal Table

Ah, Cinderella’s Royal Table.

Known for its incredible atmosphere, character meets, and unbeatable castle location, this is the best breakfast in Disney World if you’re traveling with kids.

This is a traditional sit-down meal at Disney World, and it’s a great opportunity to mingle with Cinderella and other princesses as you eat.

It can be hard to score a reservation at this restaurant, but it’s worth a try.

You’ll start off with a selection of breakfast pastries before moving on to an entrée of your choice. The Baked Quiche is always a dream, but you can go bougie with the Beef Tenderloin and Egg or Caramel Apple-stuffed French Toast!

In my opinion, this is the best breakfast at Disney World for anyone with allergies as they serve safe variations of all the entrées.

It costs the same as most of the other character dining meals at Disney World, so it’s a bargain for character meets and genuinely good food.

Sleepy Hollow

Sleepy Hollow is certainly a contender for the best breakfast at Disney World, as it serves the best waffles in the parks.

You can grab sweet and savory waffle sandwiches with fresh fruit, a classic Mickey-shaped waffle, or one of their enormous funnel cakes piled high with whipped cream. This is one of the breakfast places at Disney World that also serves a selection of cold beverages and coffees.

The prices here are reasonable and you should be served quickly. So, it’s one of the best breakfasts at Disney World if you’re in a time crunch.

Best Breakfast at Disney World: Epcot

Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie

You may be surprised that I haven’t listed Be Our Guest on my list of Disney World breakfast locations.

But there’s a reason for that – this place is just better.

Not only does it serve excellent French-themed food and fresh pastries, but Be Our Guest is obscene at breakfast and I always avoid it.

The Beauty and the Beast décor is beautiful, but you have to pre-order everything which makes the experience less-than-magical. It’s also extremely busy all year round, which can detract from the experience.

Now that I’ve covered why not to dine at Be Our Guest, let’s move on to Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie which may just serve the best breakfast at Disney World.

It’s tucked away in the World Showcase’s France pavilion, and you’ll be able to grab s selection of croissants, pastries, quiches, macarons, and of course – the famous Croque Monsieur.

The Croque Monsieur is a must-order in my book, as it’s filled with toasted ham and cheese that pulls apart perfectly. If you want to pad out your breakfast, grab one of the Croissant Amandes which is stuffed with a delicate almond filling.

Whatever you order, I’m sure you’ll agree that this place is home to the best breakfast at Disney World for diners on a budget. Just be aware that the queues here can get long.

So, aim to get here as early as possible.

Garden Grill

Garden Grill is one of the best places to go for character dining at Disney. It’s also one of my favorite places for breakfast at EPCOT!

Garden Grill is a popular family-style restaurant that’s located inside The Land pavilion, and it’s Disney’s only rotating eatery.

That’s darn cool if you ask me.

You’ll find classic breakfast staples like Mickey waffles and creamy scrambled eggs here. However, I suggest sticking around for Chip’s Sticky Bun Bake which is basically an enormous skillet cinnamon bun topped with warm vanilla icing.

The regular dishes are great, but part of what makes this the best breakfast at Disney World are the options for gluten-free and plant-based diners.

There’s tons of fresh fruit on offer, but you’ll also be able to pick up vegan muffins, potato barrels, and waffles. If you’re gluten-free, there’s also an entire section that you can choose from!

Oh, and there will be characters like Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale wandering around which really adds to the atmosphere.

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

I couldn’t create a roundup of the best breakfasts at Disney World without mentioning Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.

It’s widely regarded as one of the top character dining locations in Florida and you’ll find it in the Norway pavilion in EPCOT. If I’m being honest, I’d say that this place serves the best table service breakfast in EPCOT. If you’re wondering why, it’s because you’ll always get one-on-one time with the princesses!

You’ll usually find Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Aurora, and Ariel hanging around here, and you’ll never feel rushed while speaking with them.

Expect to find American classics like bacon, sausage, and scrambled eggs on the menu. But make sure you keep an eye out for the Peppered Mackerel and Dilled Salmon Gravlax that hints at this restaurant’s Norwegian roots!

Best Breakfast at Disney World: Hollywood Studios

Woody’s Lunch Box

Woody’s Lunch Box is the best breakfast at Disney World if you’re looking for a grab-and-go solution in Hollywood Studios.

It’s in Toy Story Land and it serves themed goodies that are on the cheaper side (between $5 and $10 usually).

In terms of cuisine, it’s classic American fare. So, you’ll find stuff like Breakfast Bowls packed with potato barrels, brisket, gravy, and scrambled eggs.

If you’re after something sweeter, you need to try their popular Lunch Box Tarts. They’re designed to look like they’ve come out of Andy’s lunchbox, and there are several flavors on offer.

I love the Lemon-Blueberry one, but the Banana-Peanut Butter Fudge with banana chips and rainbow sprinkles is also a crowd-pleaser.

I’d say this is probably the best breakfast at Hollywood Studios as the theming is excellent. You can also watch Slinky Dog Dash zipping around the tracks as you wait in line.

It also allows mobile orders, which can save you a bunch of time if you’re planning on rope dropping.

Hollywood and Vine

Hollywood and Vine should be one of your top picks if you’re on the hunt for character breakfasts at Disney World.

The menu is reliable and caters to most diners. This includes plant-based and gluten-free folks (which is why it’s a major contender for the best breakfast at Disney World!).

You can expect classic breakfast items like sausages, eggs, and bacon to appear on the menu. However, you’ll also be able to grab Mickey waffles and try your hand at building burritos.

It’s not as refined as restaurants like Cinderella’s Royal Table or Akershus, but the character meets here are adorable. This is also the only spot in the parks where you’ll be able to meet lesser-seen characters like Fancy Nancy and Vampirina.

Best Breakfast at Disney World: Animal Kingdom

Tusker House

Tusker House has a special place in my heart, so I couldn’t talk about the best breakfast in Disney World without including it!

This is one of the best restaurants for character dining at Disney World, and you’ll spot Goofy, Donald, Mickey, and Daisy in themed outfits as you eat.

The menu isn’t overly traditional and is packed with food that you won’t find at any other restaurant.

Some of my favorite meals include the Simba and Nala Waffles and the Beef Bobotie, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu – I mean it.

I think it’s one of the best restaurants in Animal Kingdom by a mile, so it’s worth popping in for breakfast if you can!

Yak & Yeti Local Foods Café

Yak & Yeti is a great place to visit for a delicious dinner.

But I adore the more casual Yak & Yeti Local Foods Café if I want to chow down on the best breakfast at Disney World.

It’s a quick-service restaurant, so you can expect to be served promptly. I find this useful when I’m trying to power through my food and cover as many rides as possible.

The menu consists of classic breakfast staples like egg and sausage English muffins, breakfast bowls with veggies, and a bunch of fruit and yogurts.

I feel it’s the best breakfast at Disney World if you want a quick, no-nonsense meal that’ll fuel you for a full day at Animal Kingdom.

Best Breakfast at Disney World: Resorts

Grand Floridian Café

The Grand Floridian Café is another contender for the best breakfast at Disney World. It’s perched inside the majestic Grand Floridian Hotel and offers one of the most luxurious meals you’ll have during your vacation.

It serves classic American dishes like fluffy eggs, bacon, and sausages. Keep an eye out for the famous Mickey waffles too! I’d say that the food is like other locations around the parks and resorts. But you simply can’t beat the elevated atmosphere in this hotel.

It also helps that the Grand Floridian is one of the Disney hotels on the Monorail.

This makes it super easy to head over to the parks when you’re done.

Kona Café

Kona Café is the best breakfast at Disney World if you’re searching for Asian fusion dishes that are brimming with flavor.

It’s tucked inside the Polynesian Village Resort and has a gorgeous ambiance. Think warm lighting, lovely booths, and a welcoming color palette of yellows, greens, and reds.

I’d say that the Tonga Toast with banana and cinnamon sugar is a must-try, but the Macadamia Nut Pancakes with pineapple sauce is equally glorious.

If you’re open to a cocktail in the mornings, it’s worth noting that this is one of the best places to get alcohol at Disney World. They sell specialty character drinks like the Wasabi Bloody Mary and the Magical Beacon Cocktail which will certainly perk you up for the day ahead.

Maybe a little too much.

Capt. Cook’s

Capt. Cook’s is a great alternative for the best breakfast at Disney World if you’re struggling to score a reservation at Kona Café.

The prices here are reasonable, and you can order the famous Tonga Toast, a Breakfast Burrito, or their Bounty Breakfast Platter to fill the void.

If you’re plant-based, there are also a couple of delicious options that are packed with healthy ingredients (the Power Breakfast Bowl is my ultimate fave).

It’s worth noting that you can grab most of these meals to-go. So, it’s probably the best breakfast at Disney World for anyone who’s in a hurry to hop on the monorail and hit the parks!

Trattoria al Forno

Trattoria al Forno is an Italian restaurant that’s tucked away inside the Disney Boardwalk Resort. It’s one of my favorite table service restaurants at Disney World, as it offers unbeatable views from most seats.

The breakfast menu is divine. It features goodies like Oak-grilled steak and eggs, fruit plates, and the incredible sunrise breakfast pizza. There are also several decent options for kids, which makes it worth trying!

I’d say this was one of the best breakfast locations in Disney World, as it’s a convenient walk to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.

Topolino’s Terrace

Topolino’s Terrace is among the best Disney breakfasts around. If you’re wondering why, it’s because it offers excellent character meets, delicious French and Italian dishes, and a fantastic atmosphere that kids love.

It’s located on the rooftop of Disney’s Riviera Resort, so you can expect glorious views over the water and surrounding resorts.

You can expect to chow down on sour cream waffles, Gruyere quiches, and smoked salmon. Don’t worry if this doesn’t appeal though. Fussy eaters will appreciate the chocolate-filled pastries and classic croissants!

Although the food is wonderful, I’d say the characters were the main draw here. They’re all dressed in unique, art-themed outfits and the interactions are always second-to-none.

Just a quick word of warning: this may not be the best breakfast at Disney World for young children as the food is quite upscale.

Chef Mickey’s

Finally, we have Chef Mickey’s!

This is probably the most popular breakfast at Disney World, and it can be found inside Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

It offers a top-notch character dining experience with Mickey (of course!) and friends, making it worth the admission price. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, and it’s a great option for families visiting Disney World with young children.

The menu is filled with classic breakfast staples like fruit plates, Mickey waffles, scrambled eggs, and sausages. Oh, and don’t miss the Harvest Sweet Rolls with honey butter.

Once you’ve eaten your fill, you can just hop on the monorail and ride straight to the Magic Kingdom! Ah, I love a spot of convenience on a Disney trip.

Tips for Getting the Best Breakfast at Disney World

Get there early

If you can, try and arrive at any of these restaurants early as the quick-service spots in Magic Kingdom get incredibly busy after the gates open.

Trust me when I say that you don’t want to spend valuable time standing in line for food.

The same goes for reservations. Disney has the right to release your reservation if you’re more than 15-20 minutes late.

So, try not to miss it!

Always book ahead if you can

You can make Disney dining reservations 60 days in advance of your visit. If you want to snag popular reservations like Cinderella’s Royal Table and Topolino’s Terrace, you’ll want to have your mouse at the ready as soon as the 60-day window opens!

Know when the Disney Resorts stop serving breakfast!

Most of the resorts and park restaurants stop serving breakfast around 10:30 or 11 am. A few spots will serve breakfast dishes until noon, but they’re few and far between.

How much is Breakfast at a Disney resort?

When I was thinking about top tips for grabbing breakfast at Disney, this was the first question that I knew I needed to answer.

In short – it varies.

As of 2022, prices for character experiences are ~$42 for adults and ~$27 for kids. The price will be significantly lower for non-character meals.

If you want to grab a bargain, I suggest picking something up from the quick-service spots like Woody’s Lunch Box or Main Street Bakery. At these restaurants, you’ll be able to grab something for under $10 – easy.

We hope that this guide to the best breakfast at Disney World has helped you out!

At the end of the day, it’ll be different strokes for different folks when it comes to choosing the best Disney dining spot for you. So, take each of these restaurants into account and see which options appeal to you the most!
